RUKU 'SLIMY MACKEREL' – The Hunter

The RUKU is the search bait in the OOSH system — built to find fish, read water, and force decisions from predators that aren’t actively feeding.

Designed to imitate natural forage with unsettling accuracy, the RUKU doesn’t rely on speed or aggression alone. Instead, it excels when fish are cautious, curious, or simply cruising and sizing things up.

How it fishes

The RUKU is engineered to troll confidently at medium speeds around 5 knots, making it deadly versatile across a wide range of conditions and species. Rather than being a one-dimensional “speed lure”, it’s designed to hunt — covering ground, holding depth, and presenting a believable meal to predators that should have kept swimming… but didn’t.

With a diving depth of up-to 2.5 metres and beyond (dependent on conditions, tackle, and line), the RUKU works beautifully over reef edges, bait schools, pressure points, and open water.

This is the lure you deploy first — to locate fish, trigger reactions, and turn lookers into biters.
